HDB Journey #6 : Flooring reviews

I’ve selected Tilings for my entrance Step, kitchen & 2 Bathrooms which is done by my contractor. For the rest of the floorings they are all done up with Vinyl Tiles by Inovar Floor. Here are my selections! Tiles These are selected together with my Contractor at Hafary (Eunos). It wasn’t that difficult as we already have an idea what we wanted. This is very important and I would suggest all new owners to make a trip down to Hafary to have a look first even before your actual appointment date with your contractor. There are tons of design there and one can simply spend hours and hours imagining how it would look like and whether the colour/design goes well together. With Contractor’s & Hafary staff’s advises, we choose the rough surface floor & feature wall tiles while the rest of the wall tiles are smooth surface tiles! For our Kitchen tiles, we have chosen matt tiles! Lastly, our entrance step tiles are as smooth as milk, haha!

After so many rounds of enquiring at the Expo, we have decided to settle down with Inovar Floor. Although Evorich is really attractive, their prices is more on the steep side which also makes me thinks that it is to cover their marketing cost! We have chosen Vinyl Tile since it is much easier to maintain as it is water proof! It is certified with Low VOC and is scratch resistant as well. Most importantly, it comes with a lifetime residential limited warranty! Had lock down the offered price of S$5.80 per sq ft with a S$500.00 Deposit at Expo. This price includes skirting, trimmings & the sales person had even thrown in a free main door trimming if needed. The sales person will give a rough quote base on the floor plan you’ve provided him and he will conduct an on-site measurement to determine the actual measurement & charges. Inovar Sales person was very easy to work with as he have no issue meeting my contractor with me to discuss on the flow of the renovation.  This is absolutely important since you’re not getting the flooring directly from your ID/Contractor. I’ve made comparison with my contractor’s quote but it was a few hundred more expensive, therefore I’ve gone directly to the manufacturer.
Total Damage for Vinyl Flooring = S$ 3053.35 (Living room, common room & master room)
Hope you’re enjoying the journey so far! More to come
